    Description
    WWI circular pressed tinplate badge with a celluloid face and a pin attachment to the reverse. The words "Port Adelaide Repatriation Day Dec 8th & 9th 1916" appear on the badge. Pin features a green field with a seven pointed star.
    Summary
    This is a fundraising badge produced to support the work of the local World War One Repatriation Funds. Such badges were sold in trams, buses, at railways stations and at rallies to raise money for the stated cause.  The Australian Soldiers' Repatriation Fund (SA Branch) raised 37,722 pounds during the war, while smaller local Repatriation Committees raised an additional 11,00 pounds.
