Vintage 1950s “Esso” Birthday Candles!
This is a pair of two vintage birthday candle packages: one unused complete package of 36 and one partial package of 5 candles. The boxes have great advertising graphics featuring the
Esso
tiger and are marked
“For Your Birthday from the Tiger and your Humble Dealer”
with the slogan
“Put a Tiger in Your Tank!”
The candles are orange and white candy striped. These were promotional items from
Esso
and
Humble Oil
gas stations back in the
1950s!
As shown in the photos, the birthday candle packages are both in very good condition for their age with some normal storage wear and light soiling. Most of the cellophane still remains on the unused package, and the five candles in the opened package are unused with a little surface wear. These vintage “Esso” birthday candles would make a great addition to your collection!
