"SIZZLE OF A SUMMER SALE!"---ONE-OF-A-KIND REDRESSED & RAVISHING! . . . 21" JACQUELINE 1967 PORTRAIT DOLL by Madame Alexander IS REDRESSED IN 1973 PORTRAIT DOLL "RENOIR" GOLD TAFFETA GOWN!---A "GOLDEN GIRL!"---This CISSY SIZE BLONDE BLUE-EYED JACQUELINE PORTRAIT DOLL loves her new gown!---also loves wearing a ONE-OF-A-KIND VINTAGE WOVEN NATURAL STRAW SUNBONNET with "RAINBOW BOUQUET" of vintage and new florals! . . . It may have been made to be worn by a 1940s Doll but it fits Miss Renoir perfectly---WITH GOLD SATIN RIBBON TIES sewn in place for BOW TIED TO ONE SIDE . . . I have tucked a few mini-roses and a lilac lily under the brim of her sunbonnet---very much a "Southern Belle" accent of color . . . Miss Golden Girl does not carry a bouquet---she is wearing hers on her bonnet! . . . ORIGINAL BLONDE ROOTED WIG w/ wavy bangs & original styled curls . . . ORIGINAL FACE COLOR: PASTEL PINK LIPS, REFRESHED BLUSH CHEEKS, hand painted TRIPLE STROKE BROWS & FLIRTATIOUS SIDE EYELASHES & delicate under eye lashes . . . ORIGINAL BLUE SLEEP EYES with EXTRA THICK FULL BRUSH LASHES . . . Her original "double drop" earrings only have ONE ORIGINAL "PEARL" on each side . . . I considered adding a new pearl to each earring but HER EARRINGS WON'T BUDGE---THEY ARE TIGHTLY IN PLACE . . . THREE ORIGINAL "DIAMOND" BUTTONS set in black plastic are sewn down the front of her bodice, surrounded by DOUBLE TIER RUFFLES matching the DOUBLE TIER RUFFLES ON CUFFS OF FITTED SLEEVES. and also DOUBLE TIER RUFFLES ON HER 4" WIDE RUFFLE BORDER encircling her SWEEPING FULL SKIRT! . . . THIS WIDE BORDER RUFFLE IS SEWN UP THE BACK TO HER WAIST, WITH A SECOND ROW OF RUFFLES CASCADING OVER THE ACTUAL GOWN---GIVING THIS GOWN AN INCREDIBLE "RENOIR RUFFLE" APRON STYLE! . . . (This gown was worn by a brown eyed blonde Jacqueline doll---photographed on page 149 of the book MADAME ALEXANDER'S LADIES OF FASHION by Marjorie Victoria Sturgis Uhl. Her original hat was a short brim natural straw hat sitting atop her head. I personally prefer the vintage natural straw wovern sunbonnet worn by our redressed Southern Belle doll. The original gown did not have a satin ribbon sash---when I found this AMAZING GOLD SATIN RIBBON in my "private reserve"---IT HAD TO BE FOR MISS REDRESSED "RENOIR!") . . . Miss Jacque "went shopping" and found "A PEACH OF A PURSE!" to compliment her gown---a OOAK "RICHARD ORIGINAL" NATURAL WOVEN DESIGNED PURSE with a MINIATURE PEACH sewn just below wrist strap . . . Once she found this purse, she whispered "I think my New Name should be "MISS PEACH" . . . so I agreed---much easier than continuing to call her "RENOIR REDRESSED SOUTHERN BELLE". . . . Miss Peach then found a PAIR OF WHITE SHIMMER "CISSY" PANTYHOSE and a BRIGHT MARIGOLD YELLOW PATENT PAIR OF SLIP-ON HIGH HEELS made by the esteemed KINGSTATE DOLL CO.---these shoes are RARE & RETIRED---NO LONGER SOLD! . . . When she slipped them on, they fit perfectly---She said "SOLD!" . . . This Beauty has the PORTRAIT DOLL BODY: A HARD PLASTIC SHAPELY TORSO with JOINTED AT THE KNEE "CISSY STYLE" LEGS, and A SOFT VINYL HEAD with ROOTED HAIR and SOFT VINYL SLENDER ONE PIECE ARMS. Her GRACEFUL SLENDER FINGERS have ORIGINAL CORAL PINK NAIL COLOR! . . . THIS DOLL IS NOT MINT---she has had a "blemish" on her chin "touched up" . . . her blush has been "touched up" . . . she has been restrung . . . there are two small age spots on the back of her pantalettes . . . her gown in not tagged but it is definitely "Renoir"---it appears to have been washed at one time . . . I have pressed it . . . You do not need to undress her to press her sweeping skirt---merely hold her at the waist, and twirl her so you can press each ruffle, pressing top tier first, etc. . . . MISS PEACH WILL BE SOLD WITH A NEW KAISER DOLL STAND so she will be DISPLAY READY . . . MISS PEACH IS A "JOY TO POSE" STANDING with doll stand OR SITTING as shown in photo---SHE POSES "PRETTY!" . . . Her legs "LOCK" in to place from being bent to being straight . . . THIS IS A VERY VINTAGE PORTRAIT DOLL---ONE OF THE "EARLY GIRLS" made by Madame Alexander---her EXTRA THICK LASHES, HER WIDER FULLER FACE, and VERY TIGHT LIMBS confirm she is one of Madame Alexander's most vintage Portrait Jacqueline dolls. The TRIPLE STROKE BROWS & FLIRTATIOUS SIDE EYE LASHES also are Signature Features of her "EARLY GIRLS" . . . Later Portrait dolls made in the mid to late 1970s actually have "stamped" brows instead of hand painted ones . . . Later Portrait Doll bodies are a lighter weight plastic too. THIS BEAUTY IS A "HEAVY" PORTRAIT DOLL. She has been on display in my SMOKE FREE, PET FREE DOLL ROOM protected from sunlight & temperature extremes . . . MISS PEACH "RENOIR REDRESSED" is being "SOLD AS IS" with a Kaiser Doll Stand, without the other dolls shown in the photos, and without the props shown in the photos . . .
