Rare Signed Hichozan Shimpo Arita Porcelain Vase
11"h x 4 1/4" top dia, c.
mid 19th century.
Baluster shape with flared ruffled top edge. Landscape with winding river, birds, rocks, trees & flowers in characteristic underglaze blue & overglaze orange-red & gilt with additions of puce & green.
6 character by hand red mark on bottom "Hicho Zan Shim Po Zho" = Made by Hichozan Shimpo.
Natural wear to gilt top edge & small shallow flake at top ruffle edge.
