    Description

    These SOLID BRONZE Officer-ONLY wear badges are reasonably SCARCE as the majority of serving officers in WW2 were NOT career soldiers but volunteers or conscripts that had risen-up through the ranks in the years of WW2 and received ISSUED collar insignia OFTEN in Brass and occasionally "Bronzed" (Brass with a Bronze "wash" to the front)
    Enlisted Ranks & NCO's in The Second World War DID NOT WEAR collar badges on their BATTLEDRESS UNIFORMS
    ONLY OFFICERS had occasion to wear collar badges on their Service Dress Tunics and as stated MOST of these were basic "Brass" badges
    These SCARCE Bronze insignia display a wonderful "CHOCOLATE" undisturbed age patina
