GENE KORNMAN ~ 1897 - 1978
Born Eugene Kornman, Gene was a famous Hollywood & glamor magazine pinup photographer. He was employed by the Hal Roach Studios & became Harold Lloyd's personal photographer until mid-30's. Later he joined Fox Studios as a portrait photographer. He worked with Frank Powolny who was also a photographer for Fox Studios & together they took pictures of many movie stars until his retirement in the 60's. Gene took the picture of Marilyn Monroe in the famous gold lamé dress designed by William Travilla for the promos for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in 1953.
