Demco’s exclusive EZ Latch Coupler is designed to automatically latch once it is dropped onto the hitch ball. This coupler ensures that you get a safe and secure connection the first time, every time! It complies and exceeds all required SAE J684 safety standards, all without the use of a safety pin. Simply back your vehicle under your trailer and lower the coupler over the hitch ball. As the coupler is lowered, the EZ Latch mechanism will slide up and back to allow the hitch ball to slide into the coupler socket. Once the coupler is lowered all the way and the hitch ball is fully inside the coupler socket, the mechanism will snap closed, indicating that the coupler is properly attached. Now you’re ready to tow! The EZ Latch system requires no maintenance, grease, or adjustments.
