    Description

    Commemorates 50th Anniversary of first airmail service to Bermuda when mail was carried from Lakehurst, New Jersey to Hamilton, Bermuda by the US Navy "Los Angeles" Zeppelin in April, 1925.
    The 5c stamp features the Short Empire flying boat, Cavalier. In January 1939, the Cavalier sank with the loss of three lives due to icing in extreme weather.
    The 17c stamp features the US Navy airship "Los Angeles" (ZR-3) built in Germany by the Zeppelin company.
    The 20c stamp features the Lockheed Constellation.
    The 25c stamp features the Boeing 747.
