Vintage pieces.. 50's Era Cloth Starfish Necklace & Earring Set...upcycled/RECLAIMED
..
I'm guessing that these are 50's era (Which is why I'm using the unknown section)...but I really do think I'm right. When found these 3 starfish pieces they were apart of a necklace that was falling apart. So I took the 3 pieces & have sewn Delica topaz seed beads all over the starfish to give them some sparkle & texture. The faux pearls were already there(their from original pieces). Then I took jiffy stiff (fabric stiffener) and sewed that to the backs. The earrings are pierced gold plated surgical steel studs, & the necklace is made the same way except I added a wire to back so that I could put the gold plated chain on. This came out to be a VERY BEAUTIFUL & NOW ONE OF A KIND set!!!!
