    Description

    Antique Japanese Shakudo buckle. The buckle has a webbed cord attached that can easily be removed.
    The buckle is made of mixed metals. The background is usually a dark bronze surface called hepatizon or dark corinthian bronze. Then it is layered with bronze, copper, gold and or silver. The clasp is used for closure or decoration on a Japanese traditional tobacco pouch.
    These clasps can easily be made into a pin or pendant.
    Measurement: 1 1/8 inches tall X 5/8 inches wide
    All items are vintage and have been used or stored. There maybe some wear. Most of the large defects have been photographed or detailed in the descriptions but there may be some smaller defects that have been overlooked.  Please look carefully at the photographs and if you have any questions, I will be glad to answer them.
