For your consideration is this antique Japanese wedding kimono from the Meiji Period (1868 - 1912).  During this period, the kimono industry provided affordable and stylish silk kimono with popular designs such as wide stripes or kasuri patterns on thick woven silk fabrics.  This wedding kimono is sage green with alternating rows of various colored bamboo, some with metallic accents.  The inside lining is a vibrant red with an amazing flower motif throughout.  Both lining and shell are made of 100% Japanese silk.  This kimono can be worn by a man or a woman.  This would be an incredible display if hung on a wall or a stand!  (R599/135)
