We are offering a very pretty and just about mint  7 1/2-8" Madame Alexander hard plastic doll from 1962 named American Girl that appears to us to have never been displayed.  She is wearing her complete original tagged outfit which includes red checked tagged dress, white pinafore, white slip, white  trimmed pantaloons, white socks and black brushed velvet original shoes.  She is a bend knee walker and works fine. Hard plastic doll marked on her back Alex and has no breaks and no repairs.  She has such a sweet look still retaining her original and correct braided hair style too.  She has sleep eyes that open and close freely;  plastic lashes with no breaks.  Her outfit is clean and crisp, never washed and no stains. The straps on her pinafore are eyelet trimmed but the tiny band that is attached is organdy, every so slightly off white but not stained.   We don't think she was ever even on display.  She retains her elusive gold square wrist tag marked American Girl, rarely found with her wrist tag.  Her tag does have a slight crease but still is in very good overall condition and still attached with the original pink MA signature cord they used on the tags that were on dolls wrists.
Darling almost 60 year old MA doll that is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner for many more years to come.  She will come to you with the complimentary doll stand as shown too.
