    Description

    This auction is for an original vintage 1930s Catalina Island California Pottery Vase in the Art Deco style. This vase is design number 636 and features an elongated shape and satin matte low lustre glaze in a Pale Blue color. The vase measures approximately 7.25" tall, 3" x 8" at the top and weighs almost 2 pounds. In overall excellent condition, no stains, hairlines, cracks or crazing. Detail photos show 2 minor glaze wear spots/flakes in the left side edge with the line/groove pattern, at about 2" and 3.75" in the photo with the ruler reference. The pottery factory was active on the island 1927-1937 and many of the original designs continued to be made in Los Angeles under new ownership.
